Downtown Trick or Treating is a Must for Families, 4pm-6pm on Halloween
Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad | 8:30pm - 9:30pm
Join resident paranormal observer and Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad museum curator Jeff Ellingson, as he guides you on a fascinating walking tour of some of the most haunted locations at the railroad. As you are guided across the railyard past the roundhouse, the warehouse, the box cars and the museum, you will learn about the rich history of each... and where poltergeists are whispered to appear on nights such as these!
Whether you're keen on hearing the many supernatural stories that abound here or are just interested in learning about the history and mystery of the railroad, join us for a fascinating look and rarely seen side of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad!
Please note: These tours are intended for mature (18+) audiences only. Closed toe and closed back shoes are required on this tour. Participants will be walking about a mile over gravel and uneven terrain.
The downtown Zombie Crawl is an event that is solely unique to Durango. At midnight on Halloween night, all zombies, ghouls, monsters, and other assorted creatures take to the streets in a peaceful, non-violent, unpermitted parade. This is a great way to check out all of the fantastic Halloween costumes and participate in one of the most unique Durango events. See you in the streets!
It's time for the Second Annual Nightmare on Elk Street Haunted House! Bigger and better than last year! Come check out the "house" on October 27, 28, and 31 from 6:00p.m. to 10:30p.m. or the special "Kid Friendly" version on Saturday, October 28th from noon until 3:00p.m. Kids on Saturday are only $2 and all adults are only $7. Sure to be a lot of fun! All proceeds stay right in our community to help fund scholarships, Veterans, handicapped, and Youth programs.
